If you have provided the Library with your email address, the Library will automatically send email notifications for the following:
- Our quarterly newsletter
- A notice when your holds are ready for pick-up
- A reminder 3 days before any item is due
- A notice 7 days after an item was due
- A notice 14 days after an item was due
- A bill for items more than 28 days overdue
Additionally, you can request your checkout receipt as an email from staff or the self-checkout machines.
You may wish to add our email addresses to your ‘Safe Sender’ list:
- Most of our notices and newsletters get sent from info@library.osngupl.ca
- Checkout receipts come from The_Public_Library@sirsidynix.com (when checking out materials at the desk with a staff member).
- Checkout receipts come from librarycheckout@library.osngupl.ca (when checking out materials at the self-checkout machines).

Emailed due date reminders, overdue notices & bills give you an additional way to keep track of when your items need to be returned to the Library. However, we cannot guarantee their delivery as each email provider and user has the right to manage their own accounts and delivery rules. Individuals are still responsible for returning library materials on time and may find their accounts are blocked if materials remain signed out past the due date.
