Summer Reading Buddies
Application Deadline: Friday, June 6
Grades 1 – 5
The Library will be accepting applications for children who need extra help with their literacy skills. Buddies meet weekly with a volunteer through July & August. Weekly one-hour sessions allow children to focus on reading and play literacy-building games together with their volunteer Reading Buddy.
Reading Buddies: Call for Volunteers
Application deadline: Friday, June 6
Grades 9 – 12
The Library will be accepting applications for volunteer Reading Buddies. Reading Buddies earn community involvement hours by helping children in grades 1 – 5 improve their literacy skills weekly through July & August. Volunteers must complete a brief interview and training.
Reading Buddies volunteers must attend a mandatory training session with Library staff on Friday, June 27.
