The library is pleased to welcome local artist Hillary Hopps to the Community Art Exhibit.  Hillary’s colourful art will be displayed on the main level of the library during November and December.

Hillary paints with acrylics, on canvas and wood panel and enjoys painting landscapes, flowers, buildings, and still life.  Her favourite subjects usually have unique light and shadow contrast, vibrant colours and often texture.  Inspired by her great-grandfather’s paintings of the Victorian countryside, Hillary began painting once retired under the mentorship of Grey County artist Peter Reid.  Her special interest is in animal rescue organizations and many of her works of art have been donated for fundraising to these charities.
