Event Overview:

A Dementia-Friendly Community is a place where people living with dementia and their care partners are welcomed, included, and supported. This community pays attention to the social and physical needs of those living with dementia, addressing barriers that often cause them to withdraw from community interaction and suffer a diminished quality of life.

Becoming dementia-friendly is crucial for ensuring that people can age in place and remain active community members. Dementia-friendly principles enhance inclusivity, support, and accessibility for everyone, making our spaces better for all. It is our social responsibility to support every member of our community, ensuring businesses and organizations are respectful and responsive to the needs of those affected by dementia.
